Berlin-based wireless startup
Synchronica
specialises in wireless data synchronization and device management based on the SyncML standard. Yesterday, Synchronica announced their first major deal with
Siemens mobile for which the startup develops a customised Device Management Server that is claimed to be a "global first" thanks to the recently finalised SyncML-DM (Device Management) specification. SyncML is the open standard that drives data mobility by establishing a common language for communications between devices, applications and networks. This article explains why device management is hot and presents an interview with the wireless wizard and CEO of Synchronica, Carsten Brinkschulte.
