Ecosummit 2012 celebrates Smart Green Business with new Award
The international smart green business conference takes place on 22-23 March 2012 in Berlin. The Ecosummit Award pays tribute to the best smart green companies in Europe.
Press Release: For the third time, Mobile Economy GmbH organises Ecosummit, the international smart green business conference. Ecosummit 2012 (ECO12) takes place on 22-23 March in Berlin and gathers 400 executives representing investors, startups, corporates and utilities. ECO12 focuses on cleantech, renewable energy, electric mobility, smart green city, startup financing and sustainability management. The new ECO12 Award rewards the best smart green companies in Europe.
Going green is smart. Our goal is the fast transformation to the smart green economy powered by 100% renewable energy. Smart stands for ubiquitous information and communication technology. Green means bringing cleantech to the mass market and making sustainability the default strategy of every company in every industry. Being smart and green enables intelligent sustainability management or, in other words, the automation of sustainability.
BT Germany (British Telecommunications) is the first lead sponsor and has allocated €15.000 prize money as ECO12 Diamond Award Partner for the category Smart Green Corporate. Further award categories to be sponsored are Smart Green Startup, Investor and Utility. The application period for the ECO12 Award runs from 1 November 2011 until 1 March 2012. During that time frame, the Facebook community votes for the Smart Green 100. Afterwards, the Ecosummit Jury, which is composed of 25 industry experts, selects the ECO12 Award winners from the Smart Green 100.
Jan Michael Hess, CEO of Mobile Economy GmbH and Ecosummit Founder, is convinced that Ecosummit 2012 will be another success story: "ECO12 is our third conference and we continuously improve our online marketing and event management. We want to create the best smart green business network in Europe. Ecosummit TV and our new award will help us reach that goal."
