By 2020 we must transform our economy into a Smart Green Economy and repower it with 100% renewable energy. Our future will only be worth living if we balance our economy, ecology and society. Thus we have to invest huge amounts of human and financial capital.”
The agenda features climate change, renewable energy, energy storage, energy efficiency, emobility, smart grid and sustainability management. Speakers include Michael Linse (KPCB), Gina Domanig (Emerald), Dr. Helmut Vorndran (Ventizz), Alexander Voigt (Younicos), Prof. Dr. Peter Höppe (Munich Re), Rolf Adam (Cisco), Harry Böhme (Novaled) and Thomas Noonan (JouleX).
ECO11 puts a special focus on the city of the future. Prof. Dr. Meinhard von Gerkan (gmp Architects) presents his vision of the smart green city TXL+ as future use of the airport Tegel. Afterwards the ideas for sustainable urban living can be elaborated during workshops.
ECO11 enables the matchmaking of startups with seed and growth investors. Next to the VCs mentioned above, GE, Sofinnova, Good Energies, Sumitomo, zouk and Sonne+Wind have confirmed their presence. Hereby Ecosummit calls for the best Cleantech startups to apply for an investor pitch.
